Position SummaryThe Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following remote delivery via Zoom course during the Fall 2025 semester:SW 412 - Mental Health Services
This course examines the structure and function of mental health services in society with particular reference to the historical and theoretical foundations. Current practices, issues, and problems are reviewed.The semester class period is from September 2, 2025 to December 5, 2025 with the final exam period running from December 9 to 22, 2025.Sessional Lecturers that are teaching remote delivery courses are expected to teach 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester remote via Zoom.Expectations for Sessional Lecturers include, but aren't limited to, the following:xc2xb7 Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades by the required deadline.
xc2xb7 Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines.
xc2xb7 Delivering 13 lectures throughout the semester.
xc2xb7 Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment.
xc2xb7 Providing regular support to students on course work during office hours, and as required by students.
xc2xb7 Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student- related matters as needed.

Work HoursThis course is offered on Wednesday's 11:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach remote delivery via Zoom (synchronous) for each of the 13 lectures, be in the Zoom room 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.Delivery method, days and times are subject to change.
