How You Will ContributeReview system requirements and functional specifications to ensure alignment with project goals. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional-level software testing. Identify test requirements, configure lab environments, and prepare for test execution. Create Python test scripts using existing automation infrastructure to streamline testing processes. Execute test cases and report results with artifacts using Test Rail to maintain traceability. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams throughout the software release cycle to ensure compliance and thorough testing. Debug and isolate issues in collaboration with the design team to facilitate quick resolution. Document test results, issues identified, and generate weekly progress and status reports.


The Must HavesBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with scripting using Python. Familiarity with traffic generators such as Ixia and/or Spirent Test Centre. Understanding of L2/L3 and Passive Optical Network (PON) technologies. Exposure to troubleshooting and debugging techniques. Some experience in a software testing capacity.


Nice to HavesKnowledge and/or hands-on experience in networking (e.g., switches, bridges, TCP/IP configuration, Telnet/SSH, FTP/TFTP). Familiarity with MPLS, Ethernet OAM (Y.1731, 802.1ag), and virtual technologies such as VNF, SDN, and Orchestration. Experience validating customer documentation for accuracy. Exposure to agile development processes and scrum meetings. Understanding of SAOS 10.x program deliverables, including Packet Software and Access organization contributions. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, including Development primes and Product Line Architects.


Pay Range

The salary range for this role in Ottawa is $64,100 - $102,300.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
