We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality control. Stay updated on sushi trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and menu offerings.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, with specific experience in sushi making considered an asset. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately for consistent results. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team setting. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Passion for the culinary arts, particularly Japanese cuisine, with a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
