Sushi Field Japanese Restaurant is now hiring a part-time or full-time Sushi Chef.
Duties
Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistry.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality by conducting regular inventory checks.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal offerings.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Able to perform multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
At least 12 months work experiences as a sushi chef.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling and storage techniques.
Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and provide exceptional service to customers.
