West Horizon is hiring a key person - Survey & Quality Control. This position is dual-focused and contains two important roles for the success of West Horizon.

1. You are a confident and capable Surveyor who can lead are surveying work.

2. You are a team-player who is outside the Production Control and provides solid Quality Control to ensure standards are being hit.

Who you are:

You have a love for the field.

You have a background in engineering and construction and a passion for delivering cool projects. You want to be part of building innovative infrastructure in challenging conditions.

You have technical expertise, training, and experience

. Ideally you have a civil engineering tech diploma, comfortable with things like AutoCAD and Trimble Business Centre. You are confident in your surveying skills. Strong English skills to email, communicate and write reports. We will also alternately seriously consider individuals who bring proven work experience.

You are capable of understanding contract specifications and every compliance detail is caught by your watchful eye. You can build quality control plans for a job and ensure all documents are reviewed before they are submitted to the client.

Meeting the specifications is what's important. You don't get bogged down in "we aren't compliant". Your interest and focus are making us compliant.

You get along with everyone. You understand that everyone is on the same team and there to work "together" towards the same goals. You communicate excellently and can work with our customers, managers and supervisors.

Display high natural Intelligence Level with Sound Judgement.

New concepts and ideas are understood and picked up quickly. You listen and and don't need regular reminders. You can be creative to help develop solutions and make sound judgement calls.

Confident and Assertive.

You can stand up for what needs to be stood up for. Your job is to make sure everything is done right but in a collaborative manner

Objectives:

Objective 1 - All projects built exactly to spec and pass requirements the first time

-You developed and executed the best plan in conjunction with project lead(s).

Objective 2 - Quality control reports are all on time, Quantity/Volume reporting is timely.

-You manage deadlines and time and are reliable to getting things done on time

Objective 3 - Contribute to excellent team culture

-You are fun to work with and communicate with everyone effectively

-You are confident and assertive to ensure quality while striving for optimum performance

Objective 4 - Machines and equipment are consistently working

-You are instrumental in looking forward to assist to ensure there is no need to stop production because you proactively delivering insight to the team in advance
