Surveyor / Layout Specialist - Heavy Civil Construction
What You'll Be Doing:
Work Control & Layout Support

• Provide accurate control lines and elevation points to guide field teams with precise measurements for installation.
• Ensure layout accuracy that upholds project integrity and quality from the ground up.

Model Development & GPS Integration

• Build detailed layout models and data files using GPS and Total Station systems.
• Enable fast, accurate field execution through advanced digital planning.

On-Site Problem Solving

• Support the project team by assessing dimensional and field-related challenges.
• Flag potential layout issues early to prevent delays and rework.

Precision Layout Execution

• Perform high-accuracy layout work based on specifications and directions from the Survey Manager.
• Lay the groundwork -- literally -- for critical structural components and site features.

As-Built Verification

• Conduct thorough as-built checks using advanced surveying techniques.
• Ensure all completed work matches project design and tolerances.

Surveying & Quantity Calculations

• Carry out topographic and cross-section surveys to support planning and production tracking.
• Assist with project documentation, quantity takeoffs, and other technical inputs as needed.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics or Surveying
• 5+ years' experience in heavy civil construction layout and surveying
• Hands-on understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and project execution
• Valid driver's license
• Required safety and regulatory certifications
• Strong communication and attention to detail -- you take ownership of your layout zones!
