Apex Geomatics has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Assistant to join our outstanding team in the Saskatoon area. This project runs on a consistent 14/7 schedule with Living-Out-Allowance (no camp) and additional travel allowance provided.

The Job and Responsibilities:


• Frequent travel will be required. Must have the comfortability and flexibility to work out-of-town for extended periods.
• Demonstrate a willingness to be mentored and take direction from the Surveyor.
• Assist in a variety of survey-related tasks such as the setup of conventional survey and GPS systems, survey data collection, and other duties as directed by the Surveyor.
• Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment, tools and vehicles.
• Full compliance and active participation in the Apex Geomatics' Health and Safety Program.
• Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
• Assist in the completion of daily field documentation and reports.
• As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.




Qualifications:


• High School Diploma and 1 year of previous industry experience or post-secondary training in an applicable field would be considered an asset.
• Possess technical and mathematical skills along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
• Have a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
• This is a safety-sensitive position and will be subject to pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• CSTS 2020 and ESC Confined Space certifications required.
