Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Surveillance, this position is responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Ensure adherence to the Company\'s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian\'s culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access; reports violations to the Supervisor, Surveillance
  • Maintains logs and records
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
  • Protection of company assets and patrons; both internal and external
  • Strict adherence to the Surveillance code of conduct and Mandate
Education and Qualifications
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
