Job Description


Main DutiesReporting to the Surveillance Manager and under the supervision of the Surveillance Supervisor, this position focuses on risk mitigation, monitoring Casino operations and cash transactions to ensure the protection of Casino and guest property, assets, and information. Responsibilities include: Observing and recording daily operations in all areas of the Casino and property. Keeping complete written and visual records. Maintaining knowledge of all Casino policies and procedures, to enable detection of irregularities. Ensuring that communication flows smoothly between Surveillance and other departments. Handling other tasks as required, to protect the integrity of the Casino\xe2\x80\x99s operations and assets.SIGA deems this position as a Safety-Sensitive position, which is therefore subject to Post-Incident and Reasonable Cause \xe2\x80\x93 drug and alcohol testing. Safety-Sensitive positions are defined as any position in which impaired performance, impaired motor skills, or lack of judgment, could result in a significant incident affecting the health and safety of SIGA employees, patrons and/or contractors.Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
  • The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
  • Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.

  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.
QualificationsEducation
  • Successful completion of a Grade 12 or GED diploma or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
Experience
  • Experience providing customer service and working with many diverse situations and personalities.
  • Previous gaming or surveillance experience would be an asset.
