Responsibilities:

What does your day look like as an Operations Superintendent?

Planning and coordinating the loading and unloading of ships and/or terminal for handling general cargo and bulk shipments; Determining the equipment and labor needs required for operations; Managing and controlling the costs related to these operations; Enforcing health and safety guidelines in the workplace and for the environment; Supervising the teams under your responsibility; Preparing performance reports; Participating in the evaluation and improvement of processes; Ensuring that plans and strategies are followed and respected; Representing the company in various committees or meetings.

Qualifications:

To succeed as an Operations Superintendent, you must have:

Three to five (3-5) years of experience supervising unionized personnel; A college and/or university degree or any other combination of relevant experience and training; Bilingualism, both oral and written (French and English); The ability to work outdoors and on different shifts; Demonstrated autonomy, teamwork, flexibility, and judgment; Decision-making skills; A class 5 driver's license.
