At TAHP, we are a busy, fast-paced specialty and emergency veterinary hospital dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and client service. Our Surgery Department is growing, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

to join our team.

About the Role

As a Surgery RVT, you will work closely with our board-certified surgeons and fellow technicians to provide high-quality care, surgical nursing, and perioperative patient care. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and a passion for teamwork.

Duties

Assist with patient preparation for surgery, including IV catheter placement, blood collection, pre-anesthetic assessments, and medication administration Provide intraoperative support to surgeons (instrument handling, patient positioning, sterile technique) Diagnostic imaging- performing X-rays and CT scans. Wound care- bandage changes Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth case flow within the service Support hospital protocols for safety, cleanliness, and patient care

Qualifications

Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) (or eligibility) Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an RVT (specialty hospital experience an asset, but not required) Strong technical skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Compassionate approach to patient care and client communication
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
