Join a team that has the environment down to a science.Your OpportunityStantec is seeking for a highly motivated individual to join our Environmental Services team in British Columbia or the Yukon for the May through December 2025 (4-month or 8-month) period as a Surface Water Resources Co-op. As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to complete the surface water resources component(s) of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic team setting. You will report directly to the Water Resources Team Lead and will have primarily field data collection and data analysis responsibilities.Your Key ResponsibilitiesConduct hydrology fieldwork with on-site support and supervision from experienced team membersComplete topographic or bathymetric surveys and data analysisManage and interpret field dataUse specialized equipment and softwareAssist with hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, water resource permitting applications and environmental impact assessmentsWrite technical memorandums and contribute to report writingActively participate in Stantecxe2x80x99s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Program to promote a strong health and safety culturePerform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniquesQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsA valid driverxe2x80x99s license and be willing to travel. Field work is often completed in remote areas accessible by airplane or helicopter, at active mine sites, or in rugged, mountainous terrain.
