Surface Modeler

The Surface Modeleris responsible for the creation of parting lines and mechanisms for Omega Tool Corp. tools based on plastic part geometry. Part geometry is normally supplied by customer but sometimes needs to created/modified by the Surface Modeler to ensure moldability. The Surface Modeler is responsible for ensuring part geometry is moldable and ensuring all mechanisms will function (clear the part at full ejection) along withensuring any part to print requirements can be maintained by modification and protection of key features. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, employee handbook guidelines, health and safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures.

Job Details:

• Full-time, day shift, Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

• Community college diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
• Minimum 3 years injection mold experience in an Engineering or Machining environment
• Proficient in computers with the ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Office, NX experience preferred, etc.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications
• Capable of forecasting and solving problems
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
