Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Supported Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our community-based residential program. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and coordinating care services to promote independence and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, or other special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or social services, with a focus on long-term care, or home & community care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while leading a dedicated team.

Duties



Supervise and support direct care staff in providing high-quality resident care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), medication administration, and patient monitoring. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support. Ensure compliance with CARF regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information. Oversee medication management and ensure proper documentation in accordance with healthcare standards. Coordinate meal preparation and nutritional planning, ensuring dietary needs are met safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment by overseeing cleaning routines and safety protocols within the residence. Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, to ensure comprehensive support for residents. Manage administrative tasks related to documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications



Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of patient care practices including working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, Food safe is a requirement. Experience with medication administration, care planning, patient monitoring. Excellent communication skills for working with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate attitude with a focus on person-centered care and improving quality of life for residents. Valid BC driver's license and a safe and reliable vehicle is required for engagement responsibilities. This role is vital in creating a supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for by a dedicated team led by an empathetic manager committed to excellence in supported living services.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $29.13 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
