Job Posting: Community Support Worker

About the Role:

We are looking for people who want to make a difference in the lives of others. Nlaing Services is seeking a Community Support Worker to work with individuals who request support to participate in personal, social, vocational, and volunteer opportunities within the community.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism. Assist individuals in their daily activities, such as driving to appointments, grocery shopping, and community outings. Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration. Effectively communicate (verbal & written) with team members, professionals, families, and community members.

Qualifications

Can work independently

Is adaptable and flexible

Valid CPR/First Aid

Valid BC Drivers license with clear drivers abstract

Preference may be given to individuals with at least one-year experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism, in a community-based or residential setting

Must have a current clear criminal record check

Available to work weekends

We are hiring part time for the following positions:

Part-time with flexible hours (approx 10-15 hours per week)
