On a typical week:

Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities including employment. Provide hands-on coaching and skill development in real work environments. Encourage and support the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. Assist with personal care tasks, including bathroom assistance, while promoting independence and dignity. Foster open communication between participants, their families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support. Advocate for participants in community settings. Promote safety and well-being, ensuring a secure environment for participants.

About You:

Previous 1 year experience working with individuals intellectual and developmental disabilities and person-centered support practices. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to promoting independence and inclusion. Self-motivated, outgoing, energetic, positive, encouraging, kind personality. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with participants, families, and community partners. Experience with documentation, goal setting, and support planning for individuals with disabilities. Ability to build rapport and trust with clients while maintaining professional boundaries. Flexible, able to adapt to changing operational needs. Ability to stand and remain active for several hours at a time. Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Capacity for light lifting as part of daily duties. Available to cover full-time shifts between the hours of 7:00 -5:00 Monday to Friday. First Aid/CPR, criminal & vulnerable record check and Social Development check completed upon hiring.

Pay: From $19.64 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
