Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those in need of care in various settings including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients by supporting their daily activities and promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Support individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their skills. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or support work is required. Knowledge of mental health disorders, disabilities ,dementia care, and medication administration is a required. Ability to work effectively with individuals with various disabilities and health conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed. Must be able to work independently as this position is solo shift work. Must be able and willing to work the hours required.
NOTE: This is a live in position which requires you to stay overnight until your 4 day shift rotation is done. The shift is from Thursday at 6pm-Sunday at 6pm.
