Position:

companionship and Personal care for elderly 80 year old women. Living indepedently in her own apartment. Client is fully cognizant, no mental decline, just needs help toileting and personal am and pm care. Client is a fall risk due to her physical condition: hunched and using walker. Keeps to herself, this supervisory shift insures her safety.

Days:

7 days a week: a Monday

o Sunday

12 hour Shift Times

: 7:00am - 7:00pm or 8am-8pm or 9am-9pm - Flexible time to be co ordained with pm caregiver - TBD

Evenings:

sleep shift - 7pm - 7 am - exact times TBD, toileting during the night if needed. sleep shift

Weekends:

both AM 12 hours and evening shifts needed.

Location is off of Highway 15 close to crossing.

Good knowledge of the cities areas and bus routes.

Dementia training and or similar experience a definite asset.

Outgoing and energetic personality.

Able to stay in home for full 12 hours.

We are looking for Caregivers who:

Are Certified PSW's or equivalent - UCP min one year. Have demonstrated hands on experience in LTC/Assisted Living/Home Care environment Have a strong work ethic - the clients needs are paramount Are dedicated and committed to their clients and our Agency- Have reliable transportation Have dementia, Aphasia, Alzheimer's training

Your responsibilities will include

assisting clients with activities of daily living general household management - all in harmony with a personalized care plan. meal prep, light housekeeping, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, companionship errands if needed

All shifts are a minimum of 4-hours.

This gives you time and freedom to provide holistic care, tend to client needs, and manage workload in an unhurried fashion.

We Require:

Clean Criminal Check with Vulnerable Sector Valid CPR certificate (and First Aid would be a great asset) Adherence to PPE per Public Health Guidelines 2 recent Work and Personal References

Assets:

Valid driver's license and/or access to a reliable vehicle/bus route Other Dementia or Alzheimer's training, certificates, and related experience.
