: 12:00 pm - 4:00pm

Client: 63 year old gentleman. Needs a companion to take him out to do activities once a week. Client has Frontal Lobe dementia/Aphasia. Need patient, clearly spoken communication.

Applicant must have:

Own Vehicle, speak clear fluent English, be physically able to do outdoor activities like biking, hiking, canoeing, Kayaking. Have good knowledge of Kingston and the various activities, festivals going ons in the city weekly. Good knowledge of the city and bus routes. Demential training and or similar experience. Outgoing and energetic personality.

Clients family wants someone to go out for 4 hours a week with client and show him the city and or do a fun activity weekly.

POSITON 2:

One day a week ; Mondays

Time: 12:00pm - 4PM

General support, for 90 year old very independent active in the community and walks hour a day, and living at home client. No physical care needed at this point. Introduction to homeware once a week for now, general help for appointments when needed or brooked. Help with groceries and organizing and cooking and prepping good wholesome meals for the whole week to avoid ordering pre paid meals. General laundry and linen changing. Home has a housekeeper. Family goes away for 6 months a year in winter and would like someone to be there for their mother/the client. Caregivers would need to have own vehicle and have good grasp of Kingston and area and have interest in art and travel and be a good conversationalist.

We are looking for Caregivers who:

Are Certified PSW's or equivalent - UCP min one year. Have demonstrated hands on experience in LTC/Assisted Living/Home Care environment Have a strong work ethic - the clients needs are paramount Are dedicated and committed to their clients and our Agency- Have reliable transportation Want to be part of a agency who truly cares and respects their work and life balance

Your responsibilities will include

assisting clients with activities of daily living general household management - all in harmony with a personalized care plan. meal prep, light housekeeping, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, companionship errands if needed

All shifts are a minimum of 4-hours.

This gives you time and freedom to provide holistic care, tend to client needs, and manage workload in an unhurried fashion.

Caregivers are assigned clients according to their perticulsr skill set and compatibility. Training can be provided. eg. Dementia care, wound care, transfers.

We Require:

Clean Criminal Check with Vulnerable Sector Valid CPR certificate (and First Aid would be a great asset) Adherence to PPE per Public Health Guidelines when directed 2 recent Work and Personal References

Assets:

Valid driver's license and/or access to a reliable vehicle/bus route Other Dementia or Alzheimers training, certificates, and related experience.
