Required Qualifications and Skills:
Notable communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team with a variety of staff, professionals, and other members of the community
Personal commitment to wellness and demonstrated interest in the field
Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
Valid class 5 driver's license & Vehicle Insurance
A minimum of grade 12 education with preference given to a certificate or diploma in social Service/Human Service Field/Substance Abuse Counseling
Knowledge of relevant support services for people with addictions.
Knowledge of substance misuse and the bio-psycho-social effects on the user and their families
Training and experience working with substance use issues, compelling behaviours, and psychological trauma would be an asset
