Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Support Worker to provide one-on-one support for a child with autism. The Support Worker will assist with daily routines, communication, social interactions, and developmental goals, while fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized care and support to the child based on their developmental, social, and emotional needs. Implement strategies from the child's care/behavioral plan in collaboration with parents, educators, and specialists. Support the child in communication, self-regulation, and social skills. Assist with classroom or daycare participation, encouraging inclusion with peers. Use positive behavior guidance to manage challenging behaviors. Help with daily routines such as transitions, meals, and personal care (if applicable). Document progress, behaviors, and observations to share with parents and staff. Communicate regularly with the child's family and relevant professionals. Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
Qualifications:
Experience in the same field. ECE/ ECESN certification. First Aid
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
