To provide support to the program delivery of the Supervised Access program
Supervising and/or facilitating visits and exchanges of children and parents during access periods
Be a neutral facilitator of family's access visits and exchanges
Be a quiet observer of family's access visits, intervening when necessary
Ensure that all parties comply with program agreements for service
Qualifications
Degree or diploma and/or background in human services/social sciences and/or relevant experience in a family related field
Multi-lingual in English, French and/or Arabic would be considered an asset
The ability to work with persons of all age ranged (infancy to adult)
A thorough knowledge of child development and a strong insight into child and family issues
Experience and competence with adults and children and demonstrated experience with issues of custody, divorce, access, high conflict separations, domestic violence, mental health, and family court processes
Excellent orgal and written communications, written observation notes that may be used in family court proceedings and used by other legal professionals and community partners
Availability for afternoon, evening and weekend shifts in the Windsor and Leamington site(s)
Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening are required. NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical and a valid Ontario Class "G" driver's licence are required prior to working directly with clients
