Kainaiwa Children's Services Corporation is a growing, dynamic First Nations organization providing programs and services to Blood Tribe children and families in need of support and protection so that they can become positive, healthy contributing members of our community While maintaining KCSC's Vision, Mission Statements and incorporating Blood Tribe Traditions through "Kainayssini" the Declaration of the Elders of the Blood Indian Nation.

We are now accepting applications for the following positions for the Main Office and Lethbridge Office

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Placement Resource Supervisor of Blood Tribe Services Corporation. The SPF Worker will be to approve/disapprove and support adoptive applicants. The primary client is the adoptable child. The secondary client is the child's caregiver/adoptive parents, birth family and community/culture of origin.

Qualifications: Should possess one of the following: Bachelor of Social Work degree, Bachelor of Arts degree in related human services field: Social Work or Child and Youth Care Diploma; equivalency additional education and experience may be considered.

- Knowledge of the Child Youth Family Enhancement Act & Policy, First Nation Agreements and Protocols;

- Excellent interviewing, assessment and analytical skills an asset; Delegation training would be an asset;

- Proficient use of various computers and software;

- Understanding of the Blackfoot Language and Culture would be an asset

- Understanding of the Blackfoot Language and Culture would be an asset.
