Summary:

We are looking for a positive, reliable Support Coordinator for Justin. Justin is a non-verbal young adult with autism living in his own home in Swan River. He requires 24-hour support.

Responsibilities:

The Support Coordinator will help Justin manage his support services, ensuring he receives the necessary assistance and care to live independently in his home. This includes:

Providing direct, hands-on support to Justin as needed

Promoting Justin's independence Interviewing, hiring, and training support workers Supervising/managing Justin's support workers, including performance management Create schedules for the support worker, ensuring that Justin has sufficient care Ensure Justin's house is maintained and in working order Create meal plans and grocery lists Send in timesheets for the payroll on a bi-weekly basis Working with Justin's mom/care team Month-end cash reconciliations Review and monitor medication sheets

Job Requirements:

Ability to focus on Justin's care and remove external distractions (including your cell phone) required Energetic and positive attitude required Strong interpersonal skills required Ability to read body language required Ability to work on a team required De-escalation and conflict resolution skills required

Assets/ Nice to haves:

Experience working with people with autism Experience as a support worker or support coordinator Holding a valid driver's license NVCI preferred

Safety and Security:

Clear criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) required Clear adult abuse registry check required Must have valid CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 6 months of hire
