The Alberta Medical Association is currently recruiting for a Support Clerk to join our Facilities and Corporate Services Team. This is a temporary position with a one-year term, with the potential for extension.

Team Overview





The Operations and Member Services area is responsible for the functional areas providing corporate services and operating support to the organization and support of our members.



Within Operations and Member Services is the Corporate Services Group, which is responsible for the operations of reception, record administration and document management, print shop/mailroom and kitchen areas of the AMA.

Position Overview




This position is responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities involved around the operations of the Corporate Services Group. Duties will include kitchen and catering support, scanning, mail distribution, administrative support and reception. Reception may require full-time coverage when covering absences.



Although the AMA does support a hybrid work environment for most staff, this position is in-office on a full-time basis. The hours for this position are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, although flexibility is required to meet operational needs, such as early morning catering, covering reception (opens at 8am), to complete a particular project, etc.


Key Responsibilities:



Scanning of physical documents, conducting quality review of scanned materials, and related duties. Maintaining the kitchen, meeting rooms and common area spaces, including providing assistance with setting up meeting rooms, assisting with catering, including ordering, setting up, and cleaning up, maintaining/ordering kitchen inventory, etc. Providing relief/absence coverage for reception. This may include full day coverage when required and/or may have limited notice. Providing relief coverage for the print shop/mailroom, including mail sorting, scanning and distribution, preparing courier packages, printing and collating documents, and special project assembling, etc. Assisting as needed with deliveries, stationery orders, photocopier maintenance, etc. Other related duties and/or special projects as skills permit. #

Education and Experience



High school diploma Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook. #

Skills



A working knowledge of the MicroSoft Office Suite. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Works independently with nominal direction. Works well with a diverse group of people in a respectful manner. Must be able to adapt to change and accommodate short timelines. Must be able to lift 25 to 30 pounds.

The salary for this role is between $40,110 - $52,144 per annum.
