Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityUnder the direction of the Health Services Manager and the OR Product Coordinator, the Supply Technician is responsible for the coordination of purchasing and acquisitioning of supplies, equipment, instruments as well as coordination of instrument repairs and replacement for the operating room. Processes associated with inventory management are a key component of this role.This position deals directly with vendors, the purchasing department, clinicians, MDR and management. The incumbent requires excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. They must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and often stressful environment. They hold the responsibility of ordering implants and other specialty surgical items while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Their actions have a direct impact to surgical patient care.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain Logistics, or one year related experience required (including budgetary control and inventory management)
  • Strong computer skills required (proficiency in Microsoft Office)
  • Familiarity with Materials Management/SAP systems preferred
  • Experience working in an OR environment preferred
  • Independent decision maker who is self-directed and accountable for decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Must have the ability to work in an environment of constant change that is often stressful.
  • Customer service and relationship focused a must
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to trouble shoot emergency product requirements
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
