Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in creating a positive learning environment for children in daycare setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion to work with children and a desire to work closely with teachers as well, particularly in early childhood education settings. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing individualized support to students, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.

Duties

Assist the lead teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Support students with their learning tasks, ensuring they understand the material being taught. Supervise children during classroom activities, lunch, and nap time to ensure safety and engagement. Help manage classroom behavior by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among children. Provide assistance to children with disabilities, adapting lessons and activities to meet their individual needs. Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages child participation and enthusiasm for learning.

Skills

Previous daycare experience is highly desirable, showcasing familiarity with daycare settings. Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children effectively. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding of diverse learning styles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with children and staff. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, ensuring all students receive equitable support. Background in early childhood education is beneficial for understanding developmental milestones and age-appropriate practices.
