Purdys Chocolatier is looking for a Supply Planning Analyst to join our Kingsway Office in Vancouver, BC!
Job Overview: Under the direction of the Inventory & Scheduling Manager, the Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based upon the long-term inventory strategy. Working with the Production Scheduler, the Supply Planning Analyst is expected to proactively identify long term capacity constraints and tailor the MPS to level load production requirements across work centres and efficiently utilize production labour.
You will have the opportunity to:
Develops mid and long term production plans and work centre shift requirements; performs capacity analysis of equipment and personnel for long term future production planning to support the growth of all sales channels
Identifying and communicating any supply risks proactively to the appropriate departments
Maintains system data to ensure reports are accurate to forecast needs and delivery requirements for purchasing and production
Monitors work order completion and maintains planned orders to ensure MRP requirements remain accurate
Updates production schedule releases
Runs MRP at regular intervals
Prepares reports that indicate production progress; communicates issues proactively
Coordinates with the Production Scheduler and Production Supervisors to execute weekly production plans and maintain inventory to provide superior customer service levels
Determines and manages appropriate safety stock levels for manufactured goods to maximize fill rate/service level while maintaining a focus on shelf life/quality of goods
Analyzes changes in forecasts and communicates ramifications/risks to the Purchasing team
Supporting the product lifecycle process and coordinating aspects of change control within the supply chain (including post season revision changes)
You will be a good fit if you have:
Experience in logistics, planning, scheduling, using MRP software or relevant education in Operations Management, with a focus on planning and scheduling
Demonstrated problem solving abilities with excellent time management capabilities
Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
Strong data analysis skills
Ability to do root cause analysis
Ability to lead and influence others and create a teamwork environment
Expertise in Microsoft Excel (required), Power BI, Syteline (ERP), WMS
Strong knowledge of GMP\xe2\x80\x99s in a food environment
Ability to work flexible shift times
Candidates working towards a professional supply chain certification will be an asset (APICS, SCMP)
