DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Manufacturing Partnership: Build strong relationships with Plant Managers and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial data and provide insights that influence strategic business decisions.
Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee the period-end close process, including journal entries, inventory reconciliations, fixed assets reconciliations, capital project tracking and plant cost statement analysis for multiple plants.
Cost Analysis & Variance Management: Review actual vs. standard costs, identify cost drivers, and deliver in-depth analysis to improve plant performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets and periodic performance tracking for multiple plants in Ontario and Quebec.
Standard Costing Oversight: Validate data integrity in standard costing processes in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams.
Performance Monitoring: Partner with plant leadership to analyze production cost performance and provide timely reporting to support operational decisions.
Leadership: Manage and develop a Senior Analyst, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Travel: Ability to travel to various plant locations throughout the year to support operational and financial initiatives.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Solid understanding of manufacturing finance, including standard costing, inventory management, and cost variance analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex manufacturing data and present actionable insights.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across all levels and departments.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (required).
CPA designation or active enrollment (an asset).
Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing accounting or plant finance (required).
