St. Matthew's House is a charitable not-for-profit multi-service agency. St. Matthew's Childcare is accepting applications from individuals who are interested in providing occasional relief to our regular employees. Familiarity with Ontario's pedagogy for the early years, "How Does Learning Happen?" will be an asset.
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
RECE designation OR demonstrated experience working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers and school aged children.
Ability to work well with others: children, families, coworkers and community partners
Ability to carry out the physical duties and tasks associated with the daily schedule in each classroom and on the playground
Clear health assessment and criminal reference check with vulnerable sector check
Responsibilities/requirements:
Ensure the health, safety and well-being of children
Support children's healthy development
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of child development in work with all age groups
Provide activities and experiences that are age appropriate and interesting to children
Ability to be flexible, patient and creative
