In this role you will be responsible for sourcing, forecasting, and procuring strategic goods and services for the Division. Additionally, you will manage supplier contracts, optimize inventory, support R&D on new materials, monitor supplier performance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in procurement and supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sourcing and procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services through ERP and inventory planning
Develop demand forecasts, plan replenishment, and ensure on-time delivery with optimal inventory levels
Partner with R&D to advance new product development and qualify new materials
Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts, ensuring cost savings, compliance, and long-term value
Lead RFx processes, evaluate proposals, and secure best-value agreements aligned with business needs
Elevate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability while proactively mitigating risks
Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Corporate Procurement to support customer and business priorities
Authorize purchase commitments and resolve supplier or payment issues to maintain strong vendor relationships
Champion continuous improvement, Lean practices, sustainability initiatives, and compliance with ISO/SQF standards
Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement
Experience in RFP/RFQ/RFT development and evaluation is required
Demonstrated ability to develop contracts and negotiate final agreements is required
Experience with procurement and material planning functionality within an ERP system is required
strong business acumen, problem solving and project management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders at various levels in a professional manner
Experience working under minimal supervision and with multiple and changing priorities
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI tools such as Cognos
An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of the (SCC) Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation program is preferred
Post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g. SCC's Supply Management Training [SMT] program, Commerce, Business Administration) is an asset
Related experience in manufacturing is considered an asset
Experience with supplier KPI monitoring and development preferred
Experience cross-training peers is preferred

This position is fully onsite at 100 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg MB
Work schedule - Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
