ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Production Inventory & Production Planning:




Develop and update long-term production schedules and order forecasts. Manage master planning records, class "A" and "B" item updates, and BOM accuracy. Review EOQ, lead times, delivery days, and usage against demand trends quarterly. Lead annual physical inventory and drive continuous improvement in stock accuracy. Maintain advanced liaison responsibilities with all divisions. Proactively reschedule with divisions to align manufacturing capacity with material flow. Own and troubleshoot inventory issues with a focus on variance mitigation and predictive planning. Create stock replenishment order for standard product lines, configured items (specials) at a predetermined inventory level. Maintain and provide realistic production schedules to meet order demand. Support and meet the given inventory and production goal. Evaluate and update the Inventory Master Maintenance record including Fixed, CSC and Vendor Contract lead time, Order Minimum quantity Safety Stock and Family Code. Perform ABC Classification Analysis for all inventory items as per given schedule. Create inventory master planning records and verify the bill of materials. Verify the Item Cost table for purchased items. Prepare various inventory usage monthly reports assigned. Participate in annual physical inventory. Participate in weekly production meetings. Co-ordinate with branches and buyers to reschedule (if necessary) orders to meet BWC manufacturing capacity. Annual file retention. Verify the accuracy to Current Operation and Material from manufacturing engineering for standard and configured units. Participate and support any assigned projects/charters/events to meet stated goal and objectives. Issue alternative material when needed at the lowest expense. Assist Production departments with Cycle Counting program. Run Material Planner Work Bench Generation daily to release replenishment orders Follow the daily reports - Order Action Report, Negative Availability Report, Past Due Purchase Order Report, Exception Report and Items Below Safety Stock Report to resolve the inventory exceptions. Perform Single Source Planner functions and sustain inventory at the predetermined level to minimize stock out at all Bobrick locations. Review and provide the monthly Forecast Quantity for PLN release. Verify the RFQ data entered by manufacturing engineer/planner for configured items, complete the overview and Item Master records. Request BOM setup from BLA Engineering once order is accepted. Other duties may be assigned.



Purchasing & Supply Coordination:





Create and oversee strategic purchasing plans based on historic trends, forecasted demand, and SCM project objectives.


Monitor purchase orders through fulfillment stages, ensuring alignment with sourcing goals and procurement timelines. Drive supplier negotiations focused on cost control, contract compliance, and lead-time optimization. Maintain vendor profiles and procurement records with emphasis on strategic supplier relationships and global sourcing contracts. Manage critical materials sourcing, including tariff mitigation efforts, alternate supplier development, and long-term supply agreements. Analyze global market shifts to inform sourcing strategies, anticipate disruptions, and capitalize on procurement opportunities. Design and implement supply risk mitigation strategies through multi-source planning and performance benchmarking. Establish supplier scorecards and lead regular business reviews focused on cost, delivery, and strategic alignment.



Inventory Management & Planning:





Manage planning and execution of physical inventory including staffing, process control, and reconciliation linked to broader SCM reporting and project goals.


Drive root cause resolution for count discrepancies and implement sourcing-based corrective actions. Engage in warehouse optimization projects tied to layout efficiency and material movement improvements.



Physical Inventory & Cycle Count Execution:




Coordinate and manage annual

Physical Inventory preparation and execution

, including scheduling, staff coordination, location control, count instructions, data validation, and reconciliation. Identify and address variances during inventory audits and cycle counts; work with stakeholders to root cause discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Support the creation and maintenance of location accuracy tools and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse layout and material movement.

Analytics, Manufacturing Reporting, Market Analysis (Trends) & KPI Management:




Develop and maintain performance dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track purchasing efficiency, inventory turns, supplier performance, and stock accuracy. Present inventory and procurement metrics monthly and recommend data-driven improvements to leadership. Support budgeting and forecast analysis through usage, cost trend analysis, and inventory aging reports. Monitor and interpret market data, supplier performance metrics, and commodity pricing trends to support strategic sourcing and risk mitigation. Analyze demand forecasts, lead times, and inventory turnover to optimize planning and replenishment strategies aligned with industry benchmarks. While leveraging data from industry reports and benchmarking tools to identify cost-saving opportunities, supply chain resilience and innovations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes through data-driven analysis, supplier collaboration, and process optimization. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, downtime trends, and capacity constraints, enabling data-driven decisions to improve throughput and efficiency. Monitor and report on key manufacturing KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap rates, and cycle times to support continuous improvement and cost control initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:




Partner with internal stakeholders (Production, Planning, Quality, Customer Service, and Finance) to ensure inventory aligns with operational plans. Respond to inquiries from Customer Service regarding product availability and delivery timelines for assigned items. Act as liaison between divisions companywide to ensure synchronized inventory strategies and procurement alignment. Participate in or lead special projects, including Lean initiatives, process automation, ERP enhancements, and warehouse organization events. Prepare various monthly reports assigned. Submit changes in vendor number, odometer & latest unit price for approval and forward to Corporate system to update.



Cross-Functional Systems Support:




Act as systems owner for planning and production PCs (ERP terminals, traveler systems, etc.). Coordinate with Engineering on hardware and system changeovers for new product launches.

Other Responsibilities:




Maintain a safe and organized work environment, complying with Bobrick's safety policies. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Production/Inventory Control Supervisor, as needed. Continuously upgrade job skills to remain current with evolving systems, technologies, and industry practices. Perform secretarial function for department supervisor, as required. Participate and support in any assigned projects/charters/events to meet the stated goals and budget.



QUALIFICATIONS




EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE




Diploma or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (bachelor's preferred). 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment. Experience leading physical inventory or cycle count programs is essential. Proficiency in ERP systems (Infor CSI or equivalent), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, and Smartsheet). APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CSCMP certification preferred. Ability to prepare spread sheets or summaries involving the examination of simple records or data using a computer. Good practical understanding of basic office equipment and data processing equipment. Work at a steady and consistent pace. Must possess above average interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Be able to come up with new ideas to improve productivity. Must be able to work independently in a self-motivated and self-directed manner. Certification in Production and Inventory Management and/or Purchasing Management is preferable
