Cambridge Treats is a new pet food manufacturer seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end operations with precision and expertise. From procurement to production flow, logistics, and vendor partnerships, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our products reach pets and their owners safely, on time, and with the highest quality standards.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager with strong experience in private label pet food manufacturing and import/export operations. This role is critical to ensuring materials and finished goods move efficiently across domestic and international markets while meeting the unique requirements of private label customers. The Supply Chain Manager will lead procurement, logistics, and customer supply chain coordination to support on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with pet food safety and trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and manage suppliers for pet food ingredients, packaging, and indirect materials.
Manage procurement and logistics to meet private label customer specifications and timelines.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and logistics partners.
Oversee import/export operations (documentation, customs clearance, CFIA/FDA compliance, Incoterms, freight forwarding).
Coordinate closely with private label customers to align supply chain activities with their packaging, labeling, and distribution needs.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and fulfillment.
Optimize transportation and warehousing for domestic and international shipments.
Lead and mentor supply chain team members.
Ensure compliance with pet food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, AAFCO) and global trade regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
5+ years of supply chain/procurement management experience in pet food manufacturing.
Proven experience managing private label customer programs in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of import/export operations (customs, CFIA, FDA, Incoterms, freight forwarding).
ERP and inventory management expertise.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of pet food safety and regulatory requirements.
