Position Overview



The

Supply Chain Manager - Future Programs

is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of all supply chain functions across Arcfield Canada's future program initiatives. This role manages purchasing, warehousing, transportation, inventory control, supplier relationships, and logistics strategies to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution while supporting growth in emerging programs.

Key Responsibilities



Inventory & Warehouse Management



Oversee all inventories held at Arcfield Canada warehouses. Ensure accuracy of stock levels and integrity of inventory records. Manage inventory tracking and reconciliation.

Purchasing & Procurement



Oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring compliant, competitive, and efficient procurement practices. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and customers. Develop, manage, and evaluate supplier performance and relationships.

Logistics & Transportation



Lead all transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Plan and implement logistics strategies, ensuring operational targets are achieved. Monitor vendor and delivery processes to ensure reliability and quality.

Operational Planning & Performance



Forecast demand and manage inventory planning for future programs. Maintain accurate records of supply chain processes and analyze performance to identify improvements. Manage costs while maintaining quality and compliance. Implement risk-mitigation strategies to minimize supply chain disruption (operational, financial, and reputational).

Leadership & Continuous Improvement



Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of supply chain professionals. Implement new technologies and stay informed about industry trends and developments. Integrate sustainability considerations into supply chain strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications:



10 years DND Logistics experience at the

Logistics Officer

Level Must be able to understand and manage transactions in Canadian Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) Proficient with Microsoft Office at least at intermediate level 10 years experience managing complex supply organization in a military environment Understanding ITAR requirement

Preferred Qualifications:



Supply Chain Management Professional SCMP University Degree BA or MBA
