Supply Chain and Logistics Manager - Hybrid Remote

Reports To: Director of Projects, Supply Chain and Global Equipment Procurement

Location: Support Office in Calgary, Vancouver or Toronto

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain Team as COBS Bread continues to grow across North America.

This position will be responsible for leading the Supply Chain team and optimizing the Supply Chain strategy, including procurement and logistics initiatives to improve costs and efficiencies.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively communicating issues to our network
  • Leading the supply chain team to reach their peak performance potential
  • Mentoring and supporting Supply Chain Coordinator(s) to achieve their professional development.
  • Providing support to the Product Development team
  • Managing the supply chain and logistics for all Canadian and USA bakeries
  • Creating long-term vision and strategy for the department.
  • Ensuring supplier network provides consistent quality, cost control for best value of goods and undisrupted supply through effective negotiation and communication
  • Seeking performance improvement from all service providers including distributors and suppliers through effective communication and negotiation strategies
  • Achieving high standards of satisfaction from Franchisees and Support Team members by effectively communicating relevant and timely information relative to departmental activities
  • Working with suppliers to resolve and prevent complaints from customers and following up on a timely manner
  • Seeking new design of structure and equipment to suit existing and future concepts/sites
  • Reviewing monthly expenses and forecasting future expenditure requirements and budgeting to achieve business plan objectives
Requirements:

What You Bring to the Table
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain and Logistics Management experience
  • Customer facing (franchisees) experience in proactively communicating issues and solutions
  • Excellent communication skills - in-person, verbal and written
  • Quick to establish, build and strengthen relationships with franchisees, distributors and suppliers
  • Proven experience in successfully managing conflict and negotiating effectively
  • Ability to implement effective processes that monitor and improve supplier deliveries, goods replenishment, and performance to meet deadlines
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Managerial experience in leading a small team
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of retail industry/franchising
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field is preferred
