We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid background in restaurant management. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation and service while maintaining a positive work atmosphere for your team.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage staff during shifts, ensuring efficient operation of the restaurant. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Manage cash handling processes and maintain accurate financial records using POS systems, including Micros POS. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints effectively. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills in food service and hospitality. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Collaborate with upper management to implement strategies that improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Previous experience in hospitality or barista roles is a plus. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
