South Langley MB Church has been a cornerstone of the community since opening Sonshine Street Preschool in 1986. With a strong reputation for quality early childhood education, we are excited to expand our outreach by opening a new Before and After School Care Centre in both our

South Langley

and in our

Aldergrove

locations.

Summary

We are seeking a number of passionate, enthusiastic, fun staff to nurture and care for school age children.

Although this is a part-time (split shifts) position during the school year we will be open full time for pro-D days and School Breaks

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment. Plan and implement educational activities that promote early learning and development. Support children's social, emotional, and physical growth through interactive play. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and needs. Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a cohesive educational experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. To safely transport children to and from school. Class 4 Drivers license needed. To be available full time during Pro-D days and school breaks To be enthusiastic about Field Trips to give the children new, fun experiences.

Requirements

Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting. Certification or training in Early Childhood Education is preferred for the Supervisor of the program. Other staff need a minimum of an RA. ECEA preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents. Patience, creativity, and a passion for nurturing young minds. Willingness to recognize children's interests and provide opportunities for them to develop those interests.

Applicants must be permanent residents of British Columbia

We are a Christian based Centre and have a close relationship with the two churches where we are located. It is beneficial for applicants to have aligned beliefs and a respect for the Christian faith.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
