Salary: Exempt Band 4, MIN $82,600.00 - MAX $111,900.00

What you\'ll be doing...

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, the Supervisor Youth Program is responsible for managing and implementing the Provincial Free Transit 12 and Under (FT12U) program, Youth Outreach Program and Youth Development Programs for BC Transit.

You will manage the FT12U program and Youth Development Programs, to include developing and coordinating partnerships with a variety of internal and external agencies to provide services for youth in BC, soliciting and administering grants, creating marketing and outreach strategies and responding to community inquiries and complaints.

You will oversee the provider network and ensure provider compliance; assisting with program development and planning; recruiting, training, and monitoring individual service providers.

What you\'ll bring to the table...

  • Previous experience in a marketing department, advertising agency, or similar environment, including experience in: coordinating projects, building strategy, writing media advisories and editing ad copy.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, theories, concepts and practices of marketing and experience with marketing strategy and planning with emerging media;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in overseeing marketing campaigns and employees;
  • Analytical skills to identify and assess the impacts of program-related risks and opportunities;
  • Exceptional communication skills to write and deliver plans and presentations (written and verbal);
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and political sensitivity in all areas of decision making;
  • Interpersonal skills to identify mutually acceptable solutions, and work to achieve consensus between groups;
  • Decision-making skills to make recommendations to resolve program-related issues, and to make decision on priorities across projects;
  • Preference will be given to those with previous youth marketing and engagement experience.

  • Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license in good standing.
