ROLE TITLE: SUPERVISOR, STABILITY OPERATIONS (18 MONTH TERM)

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY ASSURANCE

REPORTS TO: MANAGER, QUALITY ASSURANCE

HOURS: 8:00 - 16:30

Provide leadership to the Stability Operation employees ensuring productivity while maintaining compliance. Lead training and development of the Stability Operation employees. As a participative leader, implement appropriate continuous improvement opportunities in the area of Stability Operations and Technology Transfer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the Stability Operations programs to ensure efficient operations while in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination of departmental activities for stability programs, annual product quality reviews, and technical reports.
  • Lead and support projects requiring the evaluation of data and preparing statistical evaluations to support specification changes, alert limits and CI initiations.
  • Coordination of the Technical Writers and interaction with individuals and projects to ensure analysis and documentation timelines are met.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures, protocols, reports and associated forms.
  • Assist in the review and approval of annual product quality reviews.
  • Provide job specific training and skill development as well as performance feedback for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements for manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Provide vision and guidance to the Stability Operations team in the area of occupational health, safety and wellness.
  • Provide support to department on electronic systems used within the department (e.g. Stability report within LIMS and SAP QM).
  • Prepare and approve change controls, CAPA\'s and ER\'s.
  • Participate in the area of occupational Health, Safety and Wellness.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree or diploma in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years\' experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in preparing, writing, and presenting technical data.
  • Working knowledge of the associated regulations (E.g. cGMP and ICH Guidelines) that govern the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio).
  • Working knowledge and application of LIMS and ERP (SAP preferred).
  • Working knowledge and application with statistical software (JMP preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of statistical and trends
