The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical responsibilities of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Radiation Oncology Clinic, and/or Infusion Center operations. The Nursing Supervisor should be knowledgeable in all areas of the Cancer Services Department. This position will work on a multidisciplinary team and is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care. This person will play an active role in the Cancer Center accreditation processes.

Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Master\'s Degree in nursing or related field
Experience
Required: 5 \xe2\x80\x93 7 years clinical RN experience
Minimum 2 years oncology, infusion, or equivalent specialty experience
2 years of supervisory/management experience and/or related leadership role
Preferred: Ambulatory clinic experience
License(s)
Required: Current license to practice professional nursing in Texa
Preferred: N/A
Special Skills
Required: BLS
ACLS within 3 months of employment
Completion of ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy Certificate course within 3-6 months of employment
Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate course within 3-6 months of employment
Completion of Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within 12 months of employment
Completion annually of 10 CEU\'s related to Oncology
Completion annually of 4-6 hours of management courses
Preferred: ACLS

Required: Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen administration, and intravenous pumps

Problem-solving skills
Preferred: Experience with EPIC, Aria, and/or Beacon
Strong IV skills to include accessing port-a- caths
Knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration
