McCain Potato Processing Technology Centre, located in Florenceville, NB has an immediate opening for a Pilot Line Supervisor. Under the direction of the Process Manager, the successful applicant will become part of a high performing team that provides support for R & D projects on a global scale. This position is suited to a person with a broad skill set who is customer focused and committed to the safety of his team and facility. The successful candidate must be a results-oriented team player with excellent communication skills and strong problem solving abilities this position will implement and oversee all existing and future development initiatives which align with the overall vision of the company

Responsibilities:

• Provide character-based leadership and supervision to a team of people operating a pilot scale french fry line
• Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports using Success Factors
• Safety leader committed to promoting and improving the PPTC safety culture and supporting the Key Elements of Safety Program
• Responsible for the safety and security of the facility
• Oversee Hygiene and Sanitation at the PPTC and associated buildings
• Sourcing of raw materials to ensure the success of projects
• Provide team with direction with regards to following experimental protocols and accurate record keeping, strong accountability skills
• Actively support Food Safety Program (HACCP) by following all policies, procedures and completing required inspections
• Work closely with in-house scientific team and external customers (customer-facing).
• Shift work required
• On-call rotation for security systems

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing. Solid understanding of potato processing, equipment and systems
• Strong commitment to \'Safety First\'
• Degree or diploma considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of projects, to think logically and to have well developed problem-solving, troubleshooting, time management and communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring the compliance with food safety rules and regulations
