Role Profile
Based out of Toronto, ON, Leamington, ON, or remote, we are currently looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Regulatory team for 14 months, beginning in January or February 2026. Reporting to the Director of Legal and Regulatory, the ideal candidate aspires to work in the growing cannabis field with an award-winning team! The successful candidate will provide regulatory and compliance support to the Company.
Role Responsibilities
Conduct federal and provincial licensing and registration activities for licensed cannabis sites in Canada, including new applications and amendments.
Assist licensed cannabis sites with inspections, audits, self-inspections, and responses to regulators.
Apply for export permits for cannabis.
Coordinate and submit monthly and annual regulatory reports to applicable authorities with the assistance of internal stakeholders.
Guide the preparation and submission of security clearance applications to Health Canada for key personnel.
Provide advice and risk assessments regarding regulatory and compliance matters impacting licensed cannabis sites in Canada.
Provide compliance review and risk analyses of product attributes, labels, and packaging.
Assist in the submission and communication of new products and product changes to customers and regulators, including notices of new products to Health Canada.
Develop and maintain regulatory standard operating procedures and policies.
Provide compliance review and risk analyses of promotional assets for cannabis brands and products.
Maintain records of all promotional assets for our cannabis brands.
Provide regulatory guidance on new and evolving cannabis products throughout development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, laws, policies, and guidance relevant to the cannabis industry in Canada.
Other related tasks as assigned and as operationally required.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in cannabis regulatory work.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
