We are looking for a Supervisor Power Distribution to provide technical support and fill in for the shift Supervisors (as required) for the transmission and distribution of approximately 250 MW of electrical power. When filling in for the Supervision role, this position will be the power authority on site and responsible for direct supervision of a team of Electricians and Linespersons for work direction and execution of the work plan. The role is based in Labrador City, NL.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Power Distribution and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will:

Support maintenance planning for high voltage and medium voltage assets Identify and evaluate operating problems and assist in determining long-term/short-term solutions, including diagnosing system failures Resolve issues and roadblocks that hinder positive changes When in a supervisory role, act as the power authority for the power grid, sign off on switching orders, review clearance permit requests, and provide work direction to a team of electricians and line technicians Perform other duties as assigned, based on operational needs and employee competencies/training
