We are looking for an Operations Centre Supervisor to identify full potential and improvement opportunities across the business. This role covers vacation relief and acts as a 'floater;' there is no designated shift, so flexibility is required.
This is a great opportunity to lead projects and manage change -- including cultural transformation, strategic change, and the implementation of a continuous improvement mindset, to enhance the organization's efficiency and performance. The Supervisor provides operational leaders with optimized plans that reflect real constraints, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure clear, timely communication with the appropriate level of detail to support effective execution.

Reporting to the Superintendent Operations Centre and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will be:
Developing, upkeeping and reporting task adherence with Senior Leaders, responsible for dynamic scheduling and providing suggestions for improvements and/or corrective actions
Providing information and making decisions for day-to-day operational activities
Attending the Operations Centre meetings to perform review of the previous 12-hour plan as inputs for the next 24-hour plan
Providing training and support for area supervisors to ensure that decisions taken provide the highest possible system value for the short term and following day
Working in a highly technological environment
Interacting with a variety of stakeholders of the value chain to gather and provide operational direction and support
Reporting accurate operational information to ensure informed value chain decisions are being made
Providing direction and priority setting task assignments to Operations teams
Part of the key team in the evolution of the operational model of IOC
Working collaboratively within the broader Operations Centre team
Contributing to IOC`s Safety Programs by being a visible advocate of IOC`s commitment to zero harm; effectively employing CRM tools to develop critical risk awareness in others and making a tangible contribution to IOC`s ability to eliminate fatalities and to reduce the risk of injuries.

An Engineering degree is preferred, college degree in a related discipline or relevant field experience will also be considered
Previous experience working in Mining and Processing Operations
Self-motivated, strong skills to structure and organize work
Excellent written and oral communication skills and very strong interpersonal skills
