Reporting to the Administrator of Design and Construction, the Supervisor of Design and Construction is responsible for the day-to-day management of a range of construction, renovation and infrastructure projects across multiple school sites within the Niagara region.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Collaborate with the Administrator of Design and Construction to develop project plans, timelines and budgets;
Provide technical guidance and oversight to both internal and external stakeholders including school administration, contractors, architects, engineers and other partners to ensure efficient project delivery;
Coordinate and supervise project activities including procurement, scheduling and resource allocation;
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions;
Facilitate meetings and presentations to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project objectives;
Responsible for the management of project records and database, including as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals;
Lead stakeholder engagement and oversee compliance with building codes and safety standards.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Degree or Diploma in Facilities/Construction or Project Management
PMP preferred
Three - five years experience in a similar leadership role
Working knowledge of AUTOCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Strong understanding of construction principals, building codes and regulations
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Proven problem solving and decision making skills in a construction environment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment
Proficiency in reading drawings and specifications
This is a full time, permanent position.
HOURS:
40 hours per week; Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
