Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Patient Transfer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all Patient Transfer related operations in their region. Primarily focusing on internal logistics and co coordinating operations between the Logistics Centre, stretcher and wheelchair vehicles on the road and the external customer. This individual will work closely with Human Resources, Health & Safety and Maintenance to support operations while managing the individuals within the operation.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations

  • Completes bi-weekly attendant schedule
  • Ensures base cleanliness by establishing base cleaning schedule
  • Completes at least 4 monthly driver ghostings as required by the Operations Manager
  • Ensures proper inventory levels are maintained
  • Review monthly deficiency report and schedule and conduct required training
Vehicle Maintenance
  • Maintains truck maintenance schedule
  • Ensures deep cleans are completed
  • Completes monthly truck audits as required by Operations Manager
  • Ensures all vehicles are scheduled for maintenance in accordance with the Fleet PM reports
  • Ensures all vehicles are properly licensed, meet current regulations and have all required documents on board.
Reporting
  • Completes reports per assessment (i.e. uniform allowances, fuel reconciliation) or as directed
  • Control the use of fuel cards
Payroll
  • Completes payroll input
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to
  • Proven experience within Non-Emergency Patient Transfer industry
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (Management, Supervisory. Lead Hand or training experience)
  • Current Advanced First Aid & CPR Certification and EFR Certification or equivalent
  • Excellent, strong proven customer service experience
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time and Stress Management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Southwestern and Central Ontario
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications
