Our Team:

Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.

Port Colborne is home to our Nickel Refinery where raw materials from our Sudbury operations are processed into electrocobalt and precious metals and serves as a distribution center for finished nickel products.

The Opportunity

The Supervisor, NAPG Contracts Support and Integration will lead in supporting the NAPG Contracts and Supply Chain Management Team to effectively support regional Project execution through development, implementation and maintenance of process, procedures, systems and templates; implementation and management of area-specific performance management and reporting requirements; support implementation and maturation of Vale Production System (VPS) requirement implementation; support Compliance Action Item resolution; support Contract Claim analysis and prevention; and execute and support other non-project development initiatives required to be implemented by the organization.

The position considers multiple interfaces within the company (Global PMO, FP&A, Operational Excellence etc.) and inside the project (almost all areas), being a key part of the project decision making processes, providing recommendations in a data driven environment.

Additional in this position, you will;

  • Lead the development of NAPG level process and procedure development, implementation training and management.
  • Lead the development of NAPG level template development, implementation training and management.
  • Lead the implementation of VPS requirements in functional area processes, procedures and routines.
  • Lead the identification, development, implementation, training, and management of systems required to support the NAPG Contracts and Supply Chain Management group with a focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead in the development, implementation, tracking, monitoring and monitoring and management of group level and contract level performance KPIs, including data setup, collection, management and integrity, considering the Company\'s standards and market best practices.
  • Lead in the development of analysis of Contracts and Supply Chain Management data and reporting for group level and contract level requirements.
  • Support the implementation of area-specific routines to align with stakeholder requirements (i.e. Risk Management, Cost Management, Change Management, etc.)
  • Builds a strong relationship with project stakeholders and leaders to ensure Contract status and performance reporting deliverables are meeting business expectations.
  • Support the project leadership in the decision-making processes, providing recommendations in a data driven environment.
  • Support the project team integration, building positive relationships to obtain effective and proactive participation in the discussions and decisions of the business.
About You

Education:
  • Undergraduate degree is highly required.
Preferred Certification:
  • Business / Project Management / Engineering related certifications are preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience in similar subject area.
Skills:
  • Extensive experience with contract and supply chain management in a capital project environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience for developing, implementing, and managing process and procedures for Contracts and Supply Chain Management.
  • Extensive experience with Contracts and Supply Chain Management system need identification, selection, setup, implementation and management.
  • Extensive knowledge in performance management, demonstrated good communication, organizational skills, problem solving, data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps or similar applications developer tools
  • Experience in working with SharePoint environment (including Lists), database management and other IT applications for project information integration and reporting.
  • Work experience with SAP
  • Experience working as part of multi-functional project team.
  • Experience working for a large multinational organization is considered an asset.
