About the roleFinding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.We are looking for a Supervisor - Mine Development, Dewatering to be responsible for the day-to-day organization and direction of all production and development activities on a designated shift to meet or exceed production goals in a safe, cost effective and environmentally sound manner. This role is designated to the Mine Development scope of Mine Operations. The work schedule is 7/7 day shifts (no FIFO).Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility. Ensuring personnel, equipment and work areas comply with all safety policies and regulations by providing required training, tools and monitoring.
Developing and promoting a positive employee relations environment within the operations crew and across shifts.
Providing clear work objectives and expectations of the performance required to achieve safety and production targets and minimize, identify and eliminate situations that could cause equipment damage.
Maximizing crew and employee performance and safety through training and matching of employee experience to daily equipment allocation and priorities.
Providing consistency between shifts through timely setup of and by informing the oncoming shift of pertinent operating conditions.

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team;
High school diploma or equivalent and a valid Class 5 drivers\' license;
Mining or industrial environment experience;
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience;
Previous experience in Dewatering and operating auxiliary equipment is required (excavator, loader, dozer)
Excellent leadership approach to safety, team-building, and employee performance;
Effective communication and organizational skills;
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications;
Bachelor\'s degree (in a relevant discipline) is an asset.
