Gabler Welding Ltd is a small business just outside of Carberry, MB. We fabricate and install machinery and complete repairs/maintenance in food processing plants, grain & fertilizer facilities and repair agricultural equipment. On-site, in the field and wherever our work is located we value safety and professionalism.
We employ skilled welders and millwrights and administrative staff to ensure the work is completed in a timely and proficient manner.

Our work environment includes:
a 3-bay welding & fabrication shop
mobile welding service trucks
mobile crane truck and spyder crane
a small crew of around 15-20 people
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and requirements, relay these to the workers under your supervision
- Communicate between office staff and workers in shop to schedule work and materials
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of metal parts using various tools and equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards and specifications
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials
- Professionally resolve conflict while working together as a team
- Perform inspections, tool box talks and be able to train and assist those under your supervision
- Organize any hazard remediations on an ongoing basis, to help ensure the safety of all workers under your supervision
- Relay feedback on those under your supervision as needed and in conjunction with our HR Review Plan
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a fabricator and welder or in a similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Diligent communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to assemble and fabricate metal parts accurately
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment
- Ability to use forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Ensure the safety of all workers under your supervision
