Milltown Elementary School (MES) Program Supervisor

Programs -

Overseeing all aspects of the MES programs, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring the needs of the programs are met. This includes but is not limited to:

Securing program supplies (i.e. groceries, art supplies, toys, etc.)

Maintaining program documentation to ensure the programs are operating in a manner that is consistent with BGCCC's Mission Statement and Core Values.

Collecting data for funding purposes, if needed

Submitting monthly reports to BGCCC's Outreach Director

Licensing

- MES programs are governed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, therefore; the MES supervisor is responsible for ensuring all EECD licensing requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to:

Maintaining up to date child, staff and volunteer files

Fire drills

First aid kits

Cleaning checklists

Incident reports

Potential illness/return after exclusion forms

Professional development requirements

Communication & Professionalism -

It is important for the MES supervisor to maintain professional relationships with parents, staff, and school representatives. They will deliver negative information to above mentioned parties in a constructive way, thus building positive and trusting relationships.

Skills & Qualifications -

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Problem solving abilities

Outstanding organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners

ECE Certificate or Diploma or 4-year degree would be considered a strong asset

Previous experience working in childcare or a supervisory role would be considered a strong asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.83-$28.33 per hour
